Minitrix 12440 Ram TEE DCC + Sound

One of the coolest looking diesel railcar sets, the Dutch RAm TEE from Mintrix! Hard to find and long out of production. Features factory-installed DCC and Sound with Interior lighting! This has been one of my favorite sets but will probably need some wheel cleaning and maintenance to get it operating really well again.

Even when these models were brand new from factory, other owners of this model weren't completely happy with its sometimes sluggish electrical contact which can affect operation. It is used, but really has probably had no more than 5 hours of continuous layout operation in the 10 years or so that I've been its proud owner!

But, you should look REALLY CLOSELY at the photos to see if you find a major issue that I missed. Note the factory installed decoder is a Minitrix DCC/Selectrix dual-mode decoder.

That means it can work in both your normal DCC system as well as the less common Minitrix Selectrix system (which no one has). While this decoder works like any other for the most part, they can be a little fiddly compared with more common Digitrax decoders. It is currently programmed with Locomotive address 7.
