Up for sale is an Athearn 11806 Union Pacific 3985 Challenger 4-6-6-4 DCC/Sound. Like new in the box. This can run and make sounds without the need of an expensive DCC system. This has the MRC remote control system which allows limited DCC type functions with an analog transformer. It is fully DCC equipped with sound also and runs currently on address three. This loco has been on display and shows some light dust but the wheels show no actual running time. This was from an estate sale where the owner never had a layout to run on. Note that due to age, the battery for the remote could be low or dead but they are readily available.
